Having a son with Asperger’s and remembering how painfully hard it was in the early days- with coming to terms and learning about the condition, as well as all the aggravation we had to go through to get support for him- I’ve started a charity and a website that could help kids like my Billy and their families. Well, I’ve started one and that’s the problem: I’ve never finished it! 6 years after starting something and then never finishing it because work constantly got in the way, Ive decided not to re-invent the wheel and instead give my support to the National Autistic Society.
We are now offering our support to them both financially and professionally, including the full range of IT services our company provides. Doing it this way means that people who know much more about running a charity than I do can distribute the money nationally to the programs and families that need it the most. It is essential that support be given to families who are experiencing what I went through in 2004, as well as to the professionals and organizations that continue to help us.
PLEASE visit the National Autistic Society website in order to donate, or spend a few minutes learning about Asperger’s and Autism by clicking here.
